Breaking Ground on Mountain View Affordable Housing
Mountain View's $33 million dollar affordable housing complex will be the first in the city to set aside units for low-income veterans, The Mercury News reports.
Eagle Park Apartments, which will open in Fall 2018, will feature 62 studios and five one-bedroom apartments. Some tenants will be local Silicon Valley workers making up to 60% of the median income, while others will be homeless veterans offered same-day move-ins. The city of Mountain View contributed $8 million to the project.
